In the current episode, your show toured another house in the area which I believe was stated as meeting the prerequisites for "a 5 star rated green house". I would like to see further pictures of this house and perhaps a floorplan if possible. Is there a way I may find these points of interest? Thank you.

Ken -- I think you're confusing the drywall with the insulation behind it. There was recycled cellulose insulation, but the drywall was standard issue.

Bradley -- Sorry to say that we wouldn't have photographed the house or acquired any floor plans if we just did a tour of it. However, you might have more luck if you contact Austin Energy, which runs the city's Green Building Program:

Hope you find what you're looking for.

Hello TOH...I'm interested in the process you used to level the concrete front porch..I believe you drilled a hole in it and then blew in some kind of foam? I have a similar problem, but the area is much larger...24 x 30' thanks! Anne

I am a graduate student in Architecture and a long time viewer of This Old House. It's been a long road and I am really glad to see you guys lead the renovation and new construction industry it to the ways that we much accept and adopt. I applaud you for this.

I love the 'GREEN' TOH episode, and I hope more TOH houses begin to utilize, whenever possible, Green resources.

Any chance you guys will begin offering this and other TOH shows for us to view online? I unfortunately miss a lot of the shows due to my schedule, but would love to see it online.

                  Thank you TOH!

In episode #2622 " Plumber John Podolak connects the circulator pump for the tankless hot water heater" How does that work? If you have a tankless hot water heater and you have a hot water circulating pump, then the heat and the pump would both be going all the time and then there'd be no energy savings?

I've been wondered what is done with the excess foam insulation from a green construction sight. And wouldn't you know it just as the show gets to that part my dog decides to dump his water dish and I missed it. Is the foam just sent to the land fill or is there a better use for it? It could be used as packing material or some thing right.

Jef, are you asking who made the wood for the roof, or who actually came and put it all together? The distinction between those 2 things might help you to get an answer.
